If you are using Microsoft Outlook, you can see several folders such as Inbox, Sent Items, Calendars, Tasks, Address Book etc. In Outlook, once you send an email, a copy of this email is saved on Exchange server as well as on the local computer, in the Outlook Personal Folder file.

Another factor that leads to the corruption of Outlook files is the 2 GB size limitation by the old Outlook versions such as outlook 2000, 2002 and 2003, forcing the user to do Outlook repair.
Some of the common issues that you may encounter in your Outlook 2007 are as follows.
Virus attacks
  • There are many malicious programs that result in the corruption of the Outlook PST files that are stored on the local window server. Application errors
  • Sometimes, the software errors can also result in the damage of the Microsoft Outlook 2007 and subsequently in the damage of Outlook PST files.
Unexpected or improper application shutdown
  • Often you may shut down your window system without using normal shutdown procedures, including closing all running applications on the system. This would result in the applications getting closed forcedly, thereby resulting in the corruption of PST files.
Errors in the file system
  • Microsoft outlook stores emails and contacts in different PST files in computer’s hard disk. Any error in the hard disk due to wrong formatting, bad sector and technical problem may also corrupt the PST files stored in it.
These issues would make you unable to access your Outlook account. However, in case of large business organizations, such issues can lead to the loss of important data. Kernel is a sophisticated PST recovery tool that is found to quickly accomplish Outlook repair, and fix all sorts of corrupt personal storage folders. • Underneath the name of the plugin, you’ll find the Install Now button. Click this and then confirm the action by clicking OK. You might be asked to supply additional information like your host name and current password; if so, furnish these. Sometimes you may find Outlook to be a bit slower than usual. The following Outlook tech support guidelines will help you make your Outlook perform much better and faster.
Instructions
  • Go to the Start menu located on your computer taskbar at the bottom left corner of your computer screen. Right-click on Computer and select System Properties from the popup menu.
  • This will bring up the System Properties window. Here, you will be able to check your system requirements. See whether your computer meets minimum system requirements for powering Microsoft Office 2007 version. If your system does not meet this minimum requirement, you will definitely run into problems while running Microsoft Office 2007. Microsoft Outlook that comes packaged with the Office suite will not perform well if your computer lacks enough system software and hardware support.
  • When you use Microsoft Outlook, make sure that you have the most compatible version of Outlook installed in your Windows computer. To get better performance and user experience, Microsoft suggests its users to run Service Pack 1, which was recently updated. You may visit Microsoft official website for latest downloads and updates on the same.
  • Get your emails and folders arranged into multiple folders to enhance the performance and speed of response. Use the above-mentioned technique if your count in a single folder exceeds the 10,000 items toll mark. Enhance incoming and outgoing mail processing speeds by reconfiguring and fragmenting the data into smaller packages.
  • Enhance Outlook performance by removing unnecessary Outlook add-ons. Remove all unnecessary third party applications and plugins that affect the performance and efficiency of Microsoft Outlook.
  • Also, check to see if your antivirus program is causing the sluggish performance of your Outlook application. Disable your anti-virus software temporarily to see if it has to do something with the slowing down your email performance. Some virus scanners integrate themselves with your email program to scan incoming and outgoing emails, thereby resulting in the slow performance of your Outlook program.
Hope you were able to fix the issues with your Outlook application. If you need any further assistance on this, get in touch with the Outlook Tech Support team and resolve your problem quickly.

Fix The Outlook Error Message – “The Requested Operation Failed”

When Microsoft Outlook encounters certain problems, it displays specific error codes that help users troubleshoot and fix the problem effectively. One common error message that users get is “The requested operation failed”.

There can be many possible reasons why you get such an error message. It depends on what you were doing when you received the error message. Listed below are two possible reasons why you receive such an error message. Go through the following instructions that will help you fix Outlook problems associated with such issues.

While Archiving Messages

One occasion where you could have received the error message "The requested operation failed" is when you try to archive messages in Microsoft Outlook. Do you not want to know the reason behind this? If you investigate the problem, you would find that it stems from an HTML message that is being archived and that it has many nested HTML tags.

Installing the hotfix application on the server that hosts your mailbox is a good option to identify and fix this problem. When Outlook comes up with this error message, the hotfix will log the message that is causing the problem in the Application log. Go to this Application log and try to identify the particular problem message.
Next step is to forward the problem message to yourself from Outlook. When you send the message, Microsoft Word will reformat the message and remove the unnecessary HTML tags. Now you can go ahead, delete the message, and continue archiving.

While Running a Synchronization Process to Work Offline

One effective method to fix this problem is to clean up your Outlook folder. When you try to synchronize Outlook to work offline, you might get several error messages beforehand, telling you that Outlook cannot synchronize. If you leave these error messages unattended, eventually you will get the error message, which says, "The requested operation failed".

The occurrence of this problem could be due to reason that the data in your email folders exceeds the amount allotted by your mail administrator. One method to fix this issue is to reduce the amount of storage space your email takes up, thereby reducing the amount of data in your email folders. Another method is to delete old, unnecessary messages, especially those with attachments.

Once you have done this, press the F9 key on your keyboard, to run the synchronization process again. You should now be able to perform the Outlook synchronization successfully.
If you still face some Outlook problems, better contact the Outlook Support team and get advanced assistance.

Go to the "Update" window before accessing the "Update" tab to obtain the latest releases about malwares and viruses.
Pick out the "Settings" tab before moving for the "Scheduled scan"  tab and then move forward to the "Check for the latest virus and spyware definitions before running a scheduled scan" tab to ensure that your software will run regular updates automatically.
Tick the box that lies next to the title "Run a scheduled scan on my computer” and pick out a type scan from the available options before selecting a particular date and time to entitle the software to scan your system regularly.
Hit on the "Home" tab to move for the "Full" tab in which you will have to access the "Scan now" tab to launch up the Microsoft Security Essentials to hunt your computer for infections and viruses.
Got a list of viruses or infected files after the scan? No need to worry about that. Just follow the on-screen guidelines to patch up those files to make your system infection free.
Once the entire process is complete the software will revert to the "Home" page without your attention.
