What Are The Issues And Ways To Repair Outlook 2007?

Microsoft Outlook is one of the most widely used email applications in the world. The advanced features and the ability to store the personal information of the users make this application so popular. If you are using Microsoft Outlook, you can see several folders such as Inbox, Sent Items, Calendars, Tasks, Address Book etc. In Outlook, once you send an email, a copy of this email is saved on Exchange server as well as on the local computer, in the Outlook Personal Folder file.
However, sometimes the files may get corrupt due to various factors, such as sudden shutdown of the system, exchange server problem, virus attack or even a hardware failure. Another factor that leads to the corruption of Outlook files is the 2 GB size limitation by the old Outlook versions such as outlook 2000, 2002 and 2003, forcing the user to do Outlook repair.
Some of the common issues that you may encounter in your Outlook 2007 are as follows.
Virus attacks
  • There are many malicious programs that result in the corruption of the Outlook PST files that are stored on the local window server. According to the Outlook tech support, installation of malicious programs and codes can either destroy the Outlook data files or even create empty copies of the files.
Application errors
  • Sometimes, the software errors can also result in the damage of the Microsoft Outlook 2007 and subsequently in the damage of Outlook PST files.
Unexpected or improper application shutdown
  • Often you may shut down your window system without using normal shutdown procedures, including closing all running applications on the system. This would result in the applications getting closed forcedly, thereby resulting in the corruption of PST files.
Errors in the file system
  • Microsoft outlook stores emails and contacts in different PST files in computer’s hard disk. Any error in the hard disk due to wrong formatting, bad sector and technical problem may also corrupt the PST files stored in it.
These issues would make you unable to access your Outlook account. However, in case of large business organizations, such issues can lead to the loss of important data. Kernel is a sophisticated PST recovery tool that is found to quickly accomplish Outlook repair, and fix all sorts of corrupt personal storage folders.
